Strucker’s POV

    Ever since his daughter had gone rogue he hadn’t had a moment to himself. Hydra was on high alert that two of its highest assassins where MIA and together. Strucker ran a hand through his hair as he glanced down at the pictures of the two of them together. What was Nexus thinking running off with the toy soldier? He tosses one of the pictures down on his desk as a knock sounds on his door. “Come in,” he says as covers the pictures from any unwanted attention. “Sir we have just come across a piece of information regarding Nexus we thought you’d want to see.” A young man with buzz cut brown hair and brown eyes says as he walks through the door. “Well don’t just stand there,” Strucker says as he stands and starts to make his way over to the young man. “Sorry sir, here it was recorded on one of the security cameras at D.C.’s National Mall.” Strucker grabs the disk from his subordinate and instantly uploads it to his computer. As he watches it he sees a scene that makes his anger rise. “Get out,” He orders the young man who instantly follows orders and disappears through the door leaving Strucker to let his anger flow from him.

    He rewinds the video and watches as his daughter reaches up and kisses the Winter Soldier. Rage fills his body as he sees the soldier react to her kiss by wrapping his arms around her. Strucker slams his fists down on the table countless times until his hands start to bleed. How could she after all he had done for her? How could she be so clueless as to let herself fall for the same man twice? His memory starts to drift back to when he realized his daughter was falling for the winter soldier.

    “Nexus this is the Winter Soldier, Soldier this is Nexus. The two of you will be partners on the next few missions.” Strucker says as he watches the two of them introduce themselves. “Then I shall leave you too it.” Strucker says as he walks back to his office where he keeps a close eye on his wild child of a daughter. He smiled every time he saw her take the winter soldier down in training. Maybe one day he would be able to tell her he was her father but until that time it was just too dangerous for her. He wasn’t proud of what he did to get his daughter but he knew that the Romanoff woman would never have given her to him and he just had to do what had to be done. As the months went by he started to notice that Nexus and the Winter Soldier had gotten too close for his comfort. One day he went to check up on Nexus and found her hiding in a closet with the Winter Soldier himself her arms wrapped tightly around him the two interlocked in a passionate kiss. “NEXUS!” Strucker yells as he stomps over and grabs her arm and says, “What are you doing?” Her eyes go wide as she says, “Nothing, we weren’t doing anything?” His eyes flash red as he turns toward the Winter Soldier and says, “I’ll meet you in my office.” The Winter Soldier glances at Nexus a worried expression in his eyes. “I’ll be fine, just go.”

    After he left Strucker turned to his daughter and said, “What were you thinking?” “We weren’t doing anything wrong, it’s not like he would ever hurt me.” “You can’t be in a relationship with him.” “And why not?” “Because it’s against regulations for one and for another-” “Regulations? Are you freaking kidding me?” “_______ that’s enough!” She froze when he said her name. “Go to your quarters I’ll call you to my office after I have a talk with him.” She rolled her eyes as she stomped off to her room. He lets out a sigh as he pulls his cell phone up to his ear and says, “Prep the machine, two this time. One a complete memory erase, the second a partial.” As he closes his phone he lets out a sigh and makes his way to his office.

    After that day he had the Winter Soldier’s mind completely erased and ______’s partially erased leaving the fact that they had once been partners and friends but nothing more. Strucker stares down at the pictures on his desk and sighs. He didn’t want to have to erase her memories again but it didn’t seem like he was going to have much of a choice. Letting out a sigh he calls for Viper to report to his office. After The Winter Soldier and Nexus, she was the higher ranking assassin and would find them in no time at all. Little did he know Viper had some plans of her own?

                                                                                  A Month later

    Reader’s Pov

    It had almost been a month since you and Bucky had moved into Steve’s apartment building, and so far everything was going pretty good. You spent most of your time at the training facility at Stark Tower with Nat sparing with either her or her friend Clint, while Bucky spent most of his time trying to retrieve lost memories. Steve and Nat had introduced your to the other members of the Avengers initiative save for Thor who was busy elsewhere. You had to admit you liked Tony’s sassy attitude, and out of all the rest of the avengers he had taken you in like a family member. You smiled as you walked into his workshop to see him tinkering on one of his newest suits and as you reached for a piece of equipment you hear Tony say, “Don’t touch that!” You instantly drop it as you say, “Why?” “No reason I just wanted to see you jump.” “You ass!” He smiles as he says, “Thank you I take that as a complement.” You roll your eyes as you say, “Have you seen Bucky or Nat?” A sly smile covers his face as he says, “You mean Frosty? I think he’s downstairs in the danger room. Don’t know where red is.” You nod as you say, “You do realize he’ll kill you if he ever hears you call him that?” Tony smirks as he says, “I’ll just hide behind you. He can’t do anything if the girl of his dreams is in danger.” You feel your face blush as you say, “I’m not the girl of his dreams.”

    Tony smirks as he says, “Then why are you blushing?” You narrow your eyes at him and say before you turn and leave his workshop, “I’m telling him you called him frosty.” Before he has a chance to reply you run from the room and with a smile covering your face quickly make your way to the simulator room otherwise known as the danger room, to find Bucky. Ever since your kiss in Steve’s apartment the two of you had been inseparable. Of course the two of you hadn’t done anything else other than kiss since he was being ‘Old Fashioned’ but that was fine with you. You liked the feeling of waiting for something amazing. As you neared the danger room you saw him walking out of the door covered in a cold sweat his face pale as snow. “Bucky?” you say worry filling your voice. His eyes shoot up to you and for an instant he looks like he had seen a ghost. “_______?” He says and you raise an eyebrow as you say, “Are you okay? You didn’t set the danger meter to high again did you?” he sighs and you roll your eyes as you walk over and reaching up gently placing a hand on his cheek say, “I know you want the challenge but not if you’re going to keep coming out like this.”

    He leans into your hand for a moment as his eyes clench shut. You feel your heart clench as you say, “Come on, I know what will make you feel better.” His eyes open as he raises an eyebrow at you. “Don’t be dirty, I was talking about food.” He smiles as he shakes his head and grabbing your hand starts to head for the kitchen. If there was one thing that always made up for when he went hard core in the danger room it was food and alone time with you. When you arrived in the kitchen you found Steve making one of his famous giant breakfast’s and smile as you say, “Care for some company?” Steve smiles as he turns to see the two of you walking into the room. “Sure, want some breakfast?” “Bucky yes, me no thank you.” You say as you sit at one of the bar chairs. “Okay it’ll be done in a minute.” Steve says as he reaches into the fridge to pull out some more eggs.

    “You’re not eating?” Bucky says his eyes searching yours for an explanation. You sigh as you say, “I haven’t had much of an appetite lately, now if it was a good ole fashioned cheeseburger I’d change my mind.” A slight smile fills his lips as he leans forward and gently places a kiss on your cheek making your face flush red. You look back into his eyes to see a bright smile covering his lips. You smirk as you say, “You like making me blush don’t you?” He nods as he says, “Just a little bit.” You raise an eyebrow as you say, “You do realize I can play that game too.” A devilish smile fills his face as he says, “Oh I’m counting on it.” You smile brightly as you turn from him to Steve and say, “Do you think you could keep Bucky company for a bit while I do a little shopping?” “I think we’ll manage.” He says without turning toward you and you smile as you look back at Bucky and leaning forward say into his ear so Steve couldn’t hear, “I’ll see you at home, so hurry back.” When you pull away you see a pink flush cover his face and smile. “See ya boys,” You say as you stand and head out the door.

    You reach into your pocket and pulling your cell phone out call your sister. “Hey what’s up?” “How do you feel about Lingerie shopping with me?” “Whoa wait a minute, does this mean you and frosty are?” “Must you guys really call him that and maybe, maybe that means what it means.” You hear her giggle on the other end of the line and rolling your eyes say, “Come on be serious, he did another hardcore training and it looked like this one was the worst yet, so I left him with Steve and decided to surprise him later.” “What is he hoping to get out of that damned hardcore training schedule?” You roll your eyes as you say, “No idea, now will you come with me or must I go shopping alone?” “You know I love shopping just give me a second to call Pepper and we’ll be there in a second.” You smile as you say, “So girls day it is?” “See ya ____.” “Bye.”

    It didn’t take you long to meet up with Nat and Pepper at the front doors of Stark tower. Your sister smiles as she sees you quickly make your way over to them. “So I hear we are doing some Lingerie shopping?” Pepper says a joking smile covers her lips. Your face blushes as you say, “I’ve never went shopping for that kind of thing so I figured I could use some help.” Pepper and Nat stare at each other in shock before Nat turns back to you and says, “Never?” You shake your head as you start to head out the door. “Wait, wait, wait you can’t just say that all nonchalantly and then walk away. So you mean to say you’re still a virgin?” Pepper asks as the three of you start to climb into the back of Peppers personal Limo. You’re face turns a deep pink as you say, “Maybe,” “Aw this is so cute my little sister is so pure and innocent.” Nat says as she wraps her arms around your shoulders and pulls you head down to her chest and gently starts to pat it. “AH! Okay that’s enough of that!” you say as you quickly maneuver out of her grasp. The two other women laugh as a smile covers your face.

    You had never had anything like this back at HYDRA. Everyone back there was always working for themselves and would instantly sell someone out to make their selves look better. Despite being an ex HYDRA official they had taken you in and made you family. It reminded you of before when it was just Nat and your parents before Strucker came for you. Nat and Pepper took you too many different stores and in everyone they made you blush and smile as they showed you what everything was and joked around about their uses. All together it was a very fun and relaxing day. You ended up choosing something simple yet elegant. As the three of you start to head back to Peppers limo you start to have the strange feeling of being watched.

    You quickly look around until your eyes find someone you were hoping you would never see again. His icy eyes stared straight into your (E/C) orbs making your body freeze in fear. Strucker’s eyes were full of anger and you knew just from his look that was there to take you back. Taking a deep breath you hand the bag to your sister and looking down at her say, “Here I have one place left to go but I can do it alone.” She raises an eyebrow as she says, “You okay?” Forcing a smile you say, “Yeah, don’t worry about me I’ll meet you guys later.” You could tell you hadn’t achieved lying to her but she just nods and says, “If you need me call and I’ll come running.” You nod as you wave goodbye to the two of them then closing the door waited for them to disappear around the corner before you take a deep breath and start to walk over to Strucker, this was going to end today; you weren’t going to be afraid of him anymore.
